2 peas in a pod

We believe food is so much more than a meal. It can be our daily dose of joy, a chance for connection, a reason to pause, and an excuse to gather. Food speaks to how much we care, tells stories of its origins, and connects cultures. To us, food is a love language.

At Terratorry, that language begins at the source. We’re passionate about working directly with local farmers—supporting their hard work, respecting their craft, and bringing the freshest, highest-quality food to our community’s table. For us, sourcing locally isn’t just about ingredients—it’s about people, relationships, and gratitude.

That’s why we don’t just stop at the farmer's market, ordering produce. We take the time to visit farms, walk the fields, and connect with the people who make everything possible. These visits allow us to witness the process up close, understand the challenges farmers face, and carry their story into every dish we serve.

One of the farms that inspires us most is 2 Peas in a Pod Inc., lovingly run by Lori and her family. From the moment we stepped onto their land, we felt at home. Surrounded by the quiet beauty of nature, the warmth of farm animals, and rows upon rows of thriving produce, it was clear how much love and labor goes into every harvest.

Lori’s farm is full of abundance—sweet strawberries, an array of berries, corn, beans, Brussels sprouts, zucchinis, and so much more. Beyond the fields, she also makes some of the most delicious jams we’ve ever tasted. Sharing stories with Lori, seeing her dedication, and tasting the fruits of her labor reminded us why we do what we do.

Those jams have now found a place in our weekend brunch at Terratorry. When you spread Lori’s jam on your toast or taste it in one of our dishes, you’re experiencing more than just flavor—you’re experiencing her story, her family’s effort, and the heart of local farming.

Supporting farmers like Lori means supporting community, sustainability, and integrity. It means keeping food honest, seasonal, and rooted in care. And most importantly, it means every plate at Terratorry tells a story worth sharing.

Because at the end of the day, food isn’t just food. It’s connection. It’s love. And it’s our privilege to bring that love to your table one plate at a time.

Terratorry’s ethos revolves around our local Farmers’ Markets where we directly source our products proudly along with nearby Ranchers & Fishermen providing simply the best of what California has to offer. As much as we try to keep it uber local, we are fortunate to have built relationships over the years that do expand this realm to find the best of the entire west coast. All of our ingredients are simply treated and from there we are able to create dishes that tell the story of the inspiration that is connected to these individuals. Heritage cooking is based on the Chef’s own youth growing up gardening with his Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother where the garden was the center of focus when possible in the Midwest. Its not a cooking style, it’s a lifestyle of tending to the available product and making it delicious, simply with the attention that was prior to arriving inside the Terratorry Kitchen.
